The Medical Faculty Universitas Trisakti organized the Trisakti Annual Medical Practitioner Meeting 2023 (AMPM 2023) with the theme “Building Bridges In Emergency Medicine.” The event took place on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Roemah Djan, Central Jakarta.

The program commenced with an opening address by the event’s chairperson, Dr. Nany Hairunisa, MCHSc., who articulate the purpose of the event – enriching the knowledge and skills of medical practitioners with the hope of providing new insights and strengthening collaboration among healthcare professionals. Following this, Dean of the Medical Faculty Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Yenny, Sp.FK, expressed her hope that the event serves as a platform for the emergence of new ideas, sharing of the latest knowledge, and reinforcing interdisciplinary involvement in handling medical emergencies to enhance public health and well-being.

AMPM 2023 stands for “Annual Medical Practitioner Meeting.” This year, AMPM adopts the theme “Building Bridges In Emergency Medicine.” The conference, attended by over 1130 participants from across Indonesia, both online and offline, focuses on the annual meeting in the field of medical practice, involving healthcare professionals working in the field, emergency doctors, paramedics, emergency nurses, and other related individuals.

In her welcome address, Dean Dr. Yenny emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in responding to medical emergencies. This collaboration may involve various aspects, such as coordination between emergency doctors, paramedic teams, hospitals, security forces, or even local authorities to enhance the response and care for patients in emergency situations.

Among the attendees of AMPM 2023 are Vice Dean III Dr. Tubagus Ferdi Fadilah, SpA, Mkes, and his team, Vice Dean IV Dr. Rita Khairani, Sp.P, M.Kes., participants of AMPM 2023, and speakers including:

1. Dr. Sunarto, M.Kes, who will discuss the “Overview of Emergency Medicine in Indonesia.”
2. Prof. Dr. Mohd Idzwan bin Zakaria, who will talk about the “Trauma System in Malaysia.”
3. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Yong-Kwang Gene, who will address “Pediatric Cardiac Arrest: Role of Emergency Medicine as A Bridge for Pediatric Life Support.”
4. Dr. Cecilia Padang, PhD, FACR, who will present on “Ethics in Daily Practice.”

The main objective of this theme is to foster closer cooperation among various stakeholders to improve emergency care standards and build a strong network and relationships to respond efficiently to medical situations requiring quick action.
