Student Co-Curricular Credit System 

The Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University expects students to most optimally experience their Co-Curricular activities. In order that the types and numbers of student Co-Curricular activities be measurable, directed, and uniformly spread, the Student Co-Curricular Credit System was established. The Student Co-Curricular Credit System constitutes an award system for students of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University for their participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. For the realization of the Student Co-Curricular Credit System the implementation guidelines of the Student Co-Curricular Credit System are needed, regulating the student activities to improve their soft skill abilities.

The aims of the implementation guidelines are among other things:

(1). To increase student participation in student activities

(2). To increase the soft skills of the students

(3). To provide guidelines in performing extra- and co-curricular activities 

(4). To provide guidelines in evaluating extra- and co-curricular activities

(5). To determine the magnitude of the co-curricular credit hours  for each student activity

(6). To recognize and/or reward extra- and co-curricular activities 

(7). To record all activities that have been participated in and all credits that have been acquired by all students during their education 

(8). To provide documents that are accompanied by authentic proofs of all co-curricular activities and co-curricular credits that are important to the future employer of the graduates when they enter the world of employment.

Introduction to Campus Life For Freshmen of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University for 2020

On Wednesday and Thursday, August 26 – 27, the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University held an Introduction to Campus Life For Freshmen session for the academic year 2020/2021 that was organized online through the Zoom Meeting app.

The series of events was as follows:

  1. Introduction to Faculty Leadership and Vision and Mission of the Faculty and Trisakti University by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University, Dr.dr. Raditya Wratsangka, SpOG (K)
  2. Exposition of Higher Education in Indonesia and the Educational System at the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University by Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University, Dr. dr. Elly Herwana, M.Biomed
  3. Exposition of regulations and etiquette of campus life by Vice Dean III of the Faulty of Medicine of Trisakti University, dr. Tubagus Ferdi Fadilah, SpA, MKes.
  4. Exposition of administrative services of infrastructure and facilities for academic activities by Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University, dr. Purnamawati Tjhin,MPd.Ked.

Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen for 2019

In connection with the admission of freshmen of Trisakti University  for the academic year 2019/2020, the Faculty of Medicine  of Trisakti University organized the Introduction to Campus Life  for Freshmen  of Trisakti University  for the academic year 2019/2020, said Introduction being as in previous years in accordance with the Decree of the Rector of Trisakti University no. 37/Trisakti University/SKR/VIII/2007 and  the Circular of the  Directorate General for Learning and  Student Affairs of the Ministry of Research, Technology  and  Higher Education no. 413/B/SE/VII/2018 about Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen 

The Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen at Faculty level was held after the Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen at University level, that was held on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Campus A of Trisakti University. Particulars about the Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen at University level were to be provided later.

The Introduction to Campus Life  for Freshmen at  Faculty level for the academic year 2019/2020 was held at each Faculty (including Departments/Study Programs) on the Trisakti University Campus for 2 (two) days and  was directly under the responsibility of the Dean and the Faculty Leadership, with attention to the academic and/or non-academic activities of the Faculty, and preceded by a meeting of the Faculty Leadership with the parents of the freshmen and by other supporting academic activities. The funding was to be effectively and efficiently charged to the Budget Allocation of the respective Faculties, and the material for the Introduction to Campus life for Freshmen at Faculty level for the academic year 2019/2020 was decided on by the Faculty Leadership based on the requirements of the Academies/Study Programs with the following additional material:

 

  1. Introductory Course (Introduction to the Library for Freshmen);
  2. “Trikrama Trisakti”, Campus Regulations, Student Ethical Code (by the Student Affairs Department of the University/Faculty);
  3. Narcotic Drug Abuse Countermeasures (by the Narcotic Drug Abuse Prevention and Countermeasures Team of Trisakti University);
  4. Student Organization (by the President of the Student Parliament/Student Executive Board of the Faculty/Student Association);
  5. Introduction to the Unit of Student Activities (in coordination with the President of the Coordinating Board of Student Activity Units and/or the Administrative Bureau for Student Affairs).

The attributes used by the freshmen in the Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen at Faculty level, comprise a white shirt, black long trousers or black skirt, with adaptations for those students wearing a “hijab”, a chest name tag of standard size (± 8 x 5 cm), displaying the student’s name and faculty and study program, short-clipped and neatly arranged hair, school shoes and  black socks, common handbag for carrying personal necessities such as foods /beverages, medications, and  others. The students must not wear attributes other than regulated above. 

 

The Faculties/Study Programs should involve the Student Organizations on the campuses of the respective Faculties to participate in the committees and the realization of the Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen at Faculty level. The Dean of the Faculty and all Leadership ranks, lecturers and employees of the Faculty/ Stream/ Study Program should prevent, forbid and act firmly against all forms of activities/actions that contravene the Student Affairs regulations in force at Trisakti University, be it actions committed by freshmen or by senior students, by imposing clear sanctions in accordance with the committed violation. For said purposes a Monitoring Team should be formed that is appointed by the Dean of the Faculty.

The activities of the freshmen of the academic year 2019/2020 during the first year should be focused more on academic (curricular) activities and professional guidance, in order that the students may adapt themselves to the academic environment and its requirements, such that they should not fail in their studies. Other matters associated with the realization of the Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen  at Faculty level for the academic year 2019/2020 should be reported to and further coordinated with the Monitoring Team of the Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen at University level that is led by the Vice Rector III.

Character Building (CB)

Fundamentally the vision and mission of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University have consistently stressed the development of character education for the students through various academic as well as non-academic activities, both at Study Program, Faculty or University level. The character building endeavor is shown by the programs and policies embodied in the Strategic and Operational Plans of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University for student character building.

This character education is to become one of the instruments for the formation of the TRIKRAMA of the students, who are to be intelligent and to have the character traits of PietyDiligence-Skill, Love-Help-Harmony, Chivalry-Loyalty-Sportmanship, in order to form human resources of quality. The special topic for students of the class of 2018 is “Recognize Your Self Potential and Become Successful In the Academic and Non-Academic Fields, And Establish Concern and Feelings of Honor For Harmonious Cooperation Between Classes at the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University”.

The aim and goal of the Character Building Guidance Program is to build relationships based on personal experience and not on the professed  role.

 

  1. To create opportunities for each individual to be heard.
  2. To provide opportunities for each individual to dream and to share the dream.
  3. To create an environment where each individual may choose the manner in which to contribute.
  4. To provide freedom of action and the necessary support.
  5. To motivate and enable each individual to have a positive attitude.

The expected results 

To produce medical students with the character traits of PietyDiligence-Skill, Love-Help-Harmony, Chivalry-Loyalty-Sportmanship, by creating an environment in which each individual may contribute. The orientation activities that are organized are expected to provide understanding about the lectures and the learning skills needed for successful study. The Faculty, in its efforts to provide the students with the skills for success, will conduct its orientation activities in such a manner as to comprise the soft skills as well as the character development of the students.
