Association of Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University

The graduates of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University have the Association of Alumni of the Trisakti University. The association was founded on January 18, 1985 and on July 7, 1996 the association was merged with the Trisakti Higher Schools and Academies into the Association of Trisakti Alumni. In a brief meeting of the alumni of Trisakti University on August 12, 2003, it was deemed necessary to establish a special umbrella organization for the alumni of Trisakti University. Subsequently in the National Assembly that was held for the first time by the alumni of Trisakti University on November 26 – 27, 2004, the Association of Alumni of Trisakti University was reestablished and was expected to gather all alumni of Trisakti University in realizing the ideals in accordance with the Articles of Association.  The Association of Alumni of Trisakti University is located in Jakarta, is based on Pancasila and the Constitution of 1945, is characterized by professional mutual cooperation, and is oriented to the almamater and the community. The aims of the Association of Alumni of Trisakti University are:

  1. To serve The Almighty God, to advance science and knowledge, to practice Pancasila, to have a nation and a community.
  2. To play an active and responsible role in the formation of unity and … of the Indonesian people to move to the realization of the ideals of the Indonesian National Development.
  3. To preserve, maintain, and hold in high regard the Educational Institutions of Trisakti University in accordance with the vision and mission of Trisakti University .
  4. To play a role in the guidance /development of the almamater and the community, and to fight for the interests of its members.
  5. To struggle for the interests and advancement of its members, particularly to develop and apply its science and expertise to be able to be of the greatest benefit for the community, People, and Nation in particular and mankind in general.

To achieve its goals, the Association of Alumni of Trisakti University endeavors to assist its members in practicing and developing scientific works for the members in particular and the community and people in general, by the following means:

  1. Advance suggestions and ideas in support of national development based on the results of studies, seminars, and other scientific meetings.
  2. Develop science, technology and the arts for the sake of achieving the welfare of the Indonesian community.
  3. Improve communications between members through communications media and  periodic meetings.
  4. Unify and deepen the social responsibility of the alumni of Trisakti University for the development of the Vision and Mission of Trisakti University 
  5. Organize and develop cooperative relationships with institutes/institutions of similar aims, both nationally and overseas 
  6. Do other legal efforts to support the achievement of the organizational goals.

There are several activities and their results of the association of alumni for the advancement of the study program with regard to the following:

  • Improvement of the learning process

The executive summary report from the Tracer Study has presented the suggestions and inputs from the alumni in connection with the improvement of the learning process (both academic and non-academic). For example, during the education for medical scientist and for the medical profession, the students have received material on basic clinical skills that aims at providing the graduates with good clinical skills. Involvement of the students in research of their lecturers has also been increased. Improvement of student facilities such as construction of a special Student Hall for the activities of the student organization. The Student Creativity Program is to be filled by involving the Academic counselorsto write a research proposal and to conduct the research. An Adhoc Team is to be formed for improving the quality and quantity of Student Affairs programs. In the Work Meeting of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University on July 5-7, 2019, that was attended by the Leadership of the Faculty of Medicine and representatives of the lecturers, was also discussed the Alumni Tracer Study that was presented by Vice Dean 3

  • Fund-raising

The fund-raising activities have officially not yet started, but financial support by alumni have once been conducted for natural disaster mitigation. Support from alumni was given through the Faculty in the “Trisakti concern for the Lombok earthquake“ activity on August 22-28, 2018. Monetary assistance from the alumni to the amount of of 3.6 million rupiah was handed over to the Trisakti Medical Assistance Team (TBMT) for distribution among the victims of natural disasters 

  • Information on employment opportunities

In the Tracer Study website various career development information is shown from various  users. Notes on employment opportunities is made known to the Alumni by the Faculty by affixing on the alumni announcement sheets, also in social media groups of each class 

  • Networking 

Through the Tracer Study are tracked the alumni employed in the regions or in companies and are being involved as contact person in the association of alumni for career development or education of the alumni. Alumni who are employed provide employment openings to the Faculty and the Alumni Career Development group. The alumni also form social media groups in order to be able to enlarge and improve the network, for purposes of education as well as employment.

WEBINAR Session 1 “INDONESIAN DOCTORS IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA: ARE YOU READY?”

The said event was opened by the  Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University, Dr.dr. Raditya Wratsangka, SpOG(K), followed by dr. Rita Khairani, M.Kes., Sp.P., as Executive President, and was attended by the lecturers, students, alumni and members from outside the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University to a total of  287.

This Webinar session 1 presented alumni who were to continue their education and to practice in the USA, in the name of:

Alumna of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University class of 1992 intending to study for specialist in internal medicine and practice in Savannah, Georgia
2.       Bonny Octarima Ridhanty Bautista, MD, MS
Alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University class of 1998, who will practice in Florida
3.       dr. Nany Hairunnisa, MHSc,
Alumna of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University class of 1992, who will study for master in Malaysia and  and for doctoral candidate in England
The Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University is proud of its alumni who have proven themselves to be capable of competing with graduates from other Faculties of Medicine throughout the world.
May this webinar bring enlightment and motivation to the other alumni and medical students to develop and  pursue careers on the international scene.
The Webinar session 2 will be held on Saturday, August  22, 2020 at 15.00-17.00 with as speakers alumni from  Germany and Korea,  with a moderator from the USA.

WEBINAR Session 2 “INDONESIAN DOCTORS IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA: ARE YOU READY?”

On Saturday, August 22, 2020, the Department of Continuing Medical Education of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University held the online webinar session 2 with the topic “INDONESIAN DOCTORS IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA: ARE YOU READY?” through a Zoom meeting and live streaming on Youtube at 15.30 WIB.

In this event there were 2 resource persons and  1 moderator who are also alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University, namely:
1. dr. Fithri Indraswari, MD, MSc,  alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University class of 1995, the  University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK; and the Universitätsklinikum of Mannheim, Germany.
2. dr Erica Kholinne, MD, Ph.D, alumna of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University class of 2001; Orthopedic Surgery, RSCM, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Indonesia 2015; Dept. of Orthopedic Surgery, Asian Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea
3. dr Hunied Kautsar, MD, alumna of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University, class of 2010; John Hopkins Bloomberg, School of Public Health, USA, as moderator.
Said event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University,  Dr.dr. Raditya Wratsangka, SpOG(K), followed by the Executive President, dr. Rita Khairani, M.Kes., Sp.P.
In this webinar the resource persons shared their knowledge and  experience  on the steps to be followed for succeeding in advanced studies or in overseas employment.
The resource persons also motivated the participants, the majority of whom were students, to be self-conifdent and have the highest ideals or dreams.
May the closing of this webinar motivate the alumni and medical students to be more self-confident in improving their capabilities and  to compete on the international scene.

 

Handover of Donations from  the Association of Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University to the Covid 19 Task Force Team of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University

On Thursday, November 5, 2020, on Campus B of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University the handover of donations from  the Association of Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University to the Covid 19 Task Force Team of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University in the form of 41 coverall hazmat suites and  150 surgical masks.
Representing the Association of Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University, the donations were handed over  by the Governing President of the Association of Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University ex-officio dr. Tb. Ferdi Fadilah SpA MKes, witnessed by Assistent Vice Dean of Student affairs and Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University dr. Yudhisman Imran SpS, and was received by dr. Alvin M.Ridwan SpOk and  dr Khrisnamurti M.Biomed as representatives of the Task Force Team of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University.
May the contributions be of benefit and of use to the Task Force Team of the Faculty of Medicine of Trisakti University.

The Association of Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine  of Trisakti University  participates in mitigating the Covid-19 pandemic
The Association of Alumni in cooperation with alumni and  non-alumni contributors prepared and  channeled packages of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to those alumni who needed them in various regions of Indonesia.
This contribution is expected to meet the need for PPEs of medical workers and may Indonesia rapidly be freed from the Covid-19 pandemic.
