Jakarta, August 1, 2024 — The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Trisakti held the Oath-Taking Ceremony for the new doctors of the 54th Class, Period III, 2024, at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski. The event was attended by 53 new doctors, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Trisakti, Dr. dr. Yenny, Sp.FK., accompanied by the Vice Deans and their team.

The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA., in his speech, mentioned that there are three factors that determine the progress of a nation: welfare, education, and health. He further elaborated that Indonesia has more than 74,000 villages, where the distribution of doctors, availability of medical equipment, and other factors are still uneven. Reflecting on this, he expressed his belief that the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Trisakti will be able to address these challenges in the future and improve public health across various regions in Indonesia.

Following this, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Trisakti, Dr. dr. Yenny, Sp.FK., congratulated the 53 new doctors who have successfully earned their degrees. She emphasized that graduation is the first step in carrying out the duties of a doctor, who must work within the system and understand all regulations, policies, and government programs in the fields of medicine and health, while upholding the medical ethics that serve as a moral foundation in patient care. She also stressed that the medical profession requires continuous learning of new knowledge and adapting to advancements in medical science and technology.

Additionally, during the oath-taking ceremony, there were new doctors who achieved notable recognition. Dr. Salsabila Hurin was named the top graduate with the highest GPA of 3.91 and a score of 93.3 on the CBT, while Dr. Nanda Berliana Agustin earned a score of 91.42 as the best OSCE performer.

It is hoped that the newly sworn-in doctors will carry out their duties diligently and contribute actively to improving the health of the Indonesian population, while also bringing honor to the alma mater, Universitas Trisakti.
