The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Trisakti hosted a workshop titled “Hands-on Series 2: Introduction to Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) Workflow – from Sample Prep to Data Insights” on October 30, 2024. This workshop aims to provide in-depth understanding of the ELISA technique, one of the most critical immunochemical methods in medical research and diagnostics.

ELISA enables the detection and quantification of biological molecules such as proteins, hormones, and antibodies with high sensitivity and specificity. As technology advances, ELISA plays an increasingly vital role in biomarker identification for diseases, drug screening, and the development of new vaccines and therapies. Mastery of this technique is therefore crucial for students, researchers, and medical professionals.

This workshop is designed to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, covering everything from the basics of ELISA to its practical applications in the lab. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice, including sample preparation, reagent solution preparation, and data analysis using an ELISA reader and qPCR machine.

The event will run from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM WIB in the 5th Floor Meeting Room and Biomolecular Lab of the Faculty of Medicine. With limited capacity, the workshop is open to 10 faculty members and students from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Trisakti.

Through this activity, the Biomolecular Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine is committed to enhancing molecular biology competencies, creating an interactive learning environment, and building a valuable professional network for the future. Participants are expected to gain new knowledge and skills applicable to research and clinical practice.
