Jakarta, March 3, 2025 – The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Trisakti (FK Usakti) welcomed a delegation from East Timor for a visit aimed at fostering educational collaboration. This follow-up visit took place at FK Usakti and was attended by the faculty leadership, including the Dean, Dr. dr. Yenny, Sp.FK, and the Vice Deans.

The East Timor delegation present during this visit included:

• Minister of Higher Education, Mrs. Dalia Mesquita
• Director General of FDCH, Julio Aparicio
• Education Attaché, Jaime Andre Simoes
• Deputy Education Attaché, Herminio Chaves Almeida

The event began with speeches from each representative, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in the field of education, particularly in medical education. The discussion then continued with talks regarding potential areas of cooperation, such as student exchange programs.

Following the discussion session, the delegation and FK Usakti representatives held a photo session and exchanged souvenirs as a symbol of the strong relationship between the two parties. The event concluded with a tour of the FK Usakti facilities, where the delegation had the opportunity to view the infrastructure supporting medical education at the university.

This visit is expected to serve as the beginning of closer collaboration between East Timor and the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Trisakti, in the development of human resources in the healthcare sector.
