Jakarta, December 17, 2024 – The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Trisakti (FK Usakti), hosted the 2024 Clinical Teaching Program, attended by 25 participants from various institutions, including FK Usakti, the Naval Hospital (RSAL), Budhi Asih Regional General Hospital (RSBA), and Tangerang City Regional General Hospital. The program aimed to enhance the quality of clinical education for medical students across healthcare facilities.

The event opened with a welcome address by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Trisakti, Dr. dr. Yenny, Sp.FK, who emphasized the critical role of collaboration between educational institutions and hospitals in producing competent and professional doctors.

This was followed by a presentation on the Medical Professional Study Program by the Vice Dean I, Dr. dr. Verawati Sudarma, M. Gizi, Sp.GK, who provided a comprehensive overview of the curriculum, challenges, and aspirations in medical professional education. She also highlighted the importance of cooperation among stakeholders to ensure the production of high-quality medical professionals.

The program featured expert sessions delivered by three speakers from FK Usakti:

• dr. Jihan Samira, M.Pd.Ked, SpMK: Definition, Philosophy/Principles, and Steps of Clinical Teaching
• dr. Purnamawati Tjhin, M.Pd.Ked: Methods of Clinical Teaching, Guidelines for Best Practices, and Key Tips for Teaching in Clinical Settings
• dr. Revalita Wahab, M.Pd.Ked: Evaluation of Clinical Teaching

The event concluded with a Q&A session, providing participants the opportunity to engage in discussions and seek insights on current issues in clinical education.

The Clinical Teaching Program is expected to serve as a valuable platform for shared learning and contribute to advancing the quality of medical education in Indonesia.
