The National Sports Week (PON) is a national sports competition held every four years. This year, Aceh and North Sumatra were selected as the host provinces. Various sports are being contested at PON, including Shorinji Kempo. The athletes who succeed in this PON will proceed to compete internationally at the International Shorinji Kempo Stage, scheduled to take place in Indonesia in February 2025.

In this PON, the Shorinji Kempo event featured 284 athletes—142 men and 142 women—competing for 22 gold, 22 silver, and 22 bronze medals. This martial arts event was held from September 17 to 20, 2024, at the KONI Sports Hall in Aceh.

Representing DKI Jakarta in the Women’s Team Embu category was Nayla Afiyah Sharfina Aswari, a student from Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Medicine with Student ID 030002200186, who won a bronze medal.
