From Sunday to Wednesday, January 14-17, 2024, the Medical Faculty Universitas Trisakti conducted a field study location for the optional modul Universiti Sains Malaysia with a survey team led by Dr. Yenny, SpFK, the Dean of the Medical Faculty and accompanied by the Vice Dean for General and Financial Affairs, along with module PIC (Person in Charge) staff.

This visit was carried out as part of the implementation of the Optional Module for Universitas Trisakti’s medical students. The goal was to facilitate students in achieving various predetermined learning outcomes, particularly to enable them to become lifelong learners, a quality highly needed by a doctor. Students were also expected to master various skills such as communication, literacy, the use of information technology, and innovation in their respective fields of specialization.

Some of the optional modules included Animal Laboratory Handling, Sports Medicine, Medical Education, and Introduction to Hospital Management.

It is hoped that this visit will strengthen the bonds of friendship and make Universiti Sains Malaysia one of the learning platforms for optional modules in fulfilling competencies based on the National Standards for Medical Education.
